Data Accuracy & Disclaimer

We are independent
Vehicle Compare is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or authorised by any vehicle manufacturer, dealer, or dealer group. We do not sell vehicles and we are not paid by manufacturers to feature or rank them.
Affiliate disclosure
Vehicle Compare is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases made through links on our accessories pages and on individual vehicle pages.
This applies only to accessory product links (floor mats, seat covers, and similar items) - it has no connection to vehicle specifications, pricing, or the Family Score. No manufacturer or dealer pays for placement or influences a score, as described below. Product picks are our own editorial choices, not paid placements, and clicking a link never costs you anything extra.
Trademarks
Manufacturer names, model names, trim names, and related marks belong to their respective owners. They are used here only to identify the vehicles being described — nominative use — and their use does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.
Where the data comes from
Specifications, pricing, and ratings are researched from public sources: manufacturer press releases and specification tools, NHTSA, IIHS, the EPA’s fueleconomy.gov, J.D. Power, and Consumer Reports, plus established automotive data aggregators where those primary sources are unavailable.
Our standing rule is that a figure we could not confirm is left blank rather than guessed. A blank cell means “not confirmed”, not “not available on the vehicle”. Where sources disagreed, we recorded the conflict rather than silently picking one.
It can still be wrong
Manufacturers change specifications, equipment, and pricing mid-model-year, sometimes without announcement. Availability varies by region and by individual dealer order. Research passes are done at a point in time and are not continuously re-verified.
Confirm anything that matters to your decision — price, equipment, capacity, towing rating, safety rating — directly with a manufacturer or an authorised dealer before you buy. Do not rely on this site as the sole basis for a purchase.
What the Family Score is
The Family Score is our own editorial metric. It is a weighted combination of components such as safety, reliability, running cost, space, technology, comfort, and resale value, normalised across the vehicles in our database.
It is not:
- a safety rating — NHTSA and IIHS publish those, and their ratings are shown separately and unmodified;
- a measurement of quality, durability, or crashworthiness;
- an objective or universal ranking.
The weighting reflects choices we made about what matters to a family buyer. A different, equally reasonable weighting would produce a different order. Treat it as a starting point for a shortlist, not a verdict.
Prices are MSRP
Prices shown are manufacturer suggested retail prices, generally excluding destination fees, taxes, options, and dealer charges unless stated. They are not offers, quotes, or guarantees of availability. Dealers set actual transaction prices.
Any monthly-payment figure shown is an illustration produced from a fixed, disclosed interest rate and term. It is not a financing offer, a quote, or a prediction of what you would be approved for.
Not professional advice
Nothing here is financial, legal, insurance, tax, or safety advice, and using the site does not create a professional relationship. Decisions about what to buy, how to finance it, and what is safe for your family are yours. Consult an appropriately qualified professional where you need advice.
